Opened in 2008, Nationals Park is located along the Anacostia River. The state-of-the-art stadium offers spectacular views of the Capitol building and the Washington Monument.

The stadium is easily accessible by public transport, with the Navy Yard Metro station just a short walk away, served by the Green Line. Additionally, several bus routes operate near the stadium. For those driving to the park, there are parking facilities available on-site as well as various parking lots and garages in the surrounding area.

In addition to the typical ballpark food, Nationals Park offers unique options like the Half-Smoke Sausage, a local favorite topped with onions, peppers, and mustard. Some other popular foods include the Chesapeake Crab Fries, Maryland Crab Cakes and Sweet Potato Donut Bread Pudding. The vegetarian options are decent—there’s fruit cups, vegetable kebabs and hummus platters to name a few. I got cauliflower tacos and they were great.

Nationals Park offers a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for baseball enthusiasts. The iconic Presidents Race, where oversized caricatures of former U.S. Presidents race around the field, adds an element of excitement to the games. The crowd comes alive during these races, cheering on their favorite president as they dash towards the finish line.

Nationals Park is a great place for a family outing, welcoming fans of all ages to enjoy America's favorite pastime together. From young children getting their first taste of baseball to grandparents passing down their love for the sport, the inclusive and welcoming environment makes attending a Nationals game a fun experience for everyone.

Nationals Park is a popular destination for baseball fans and travelers alike. The stadium offers a fantastic game day experience with modern amenities and great views of the field from almost every seat. I’d definitely recommend a visit on your next trip to DC.
