Great American Ball Park’s design features elements that pay homage to the team's rich history, including statues of baseball legends such as Johnny Bench and Joe Morgan. The stadium offers fans a view of the Ohio River and the city skyline.

Getting to the ballpark is easy with the various transportation options available. Fans can drive and park in one of the nearby parking lots or garages, take a bus or the Cincinnati Bell Connector streetcar, or even opt to walk or bike to the stadium. There are hotels and other attractions within walking distance, so it’s easily accessible for baseball enthusiasts and tourists alike.

The food options are pretty basic. They have the traditional ballpark fare like hot dogs and peanuts with a few Cincinnati classics such as Skyline Chili and Montgomery Inn ribs. The park also has a few vegetarian options like veggie burgers, salads, and grilled cheese sandwiches.

I had a good time at the ballpark despite the game being delayed, then postponed after an hour or two due to the rain. The Reds have multiple mascots including Mr. Redlegs, Rosie Red and Gapper. These lively characters entertain the crowd, dance on the dugout, interact with fans and contribute to a fun, game day experience.

The Cincinnati Reds fans seem loyal and devoted to the team, but it’s been a rough few years so the game was nowhere near sold out. The ones who did show up, cheered loudly and proudly showed their support. Despite the rain, majority stuck around waiting to see if the game would be resumed.

If you’re visiting Cincinnati and the Reds are home, I’d suggest checking out a game. Tickets were fairly cheap and it’s a great way to spend an afternoon or evening with friends and family.
