Yankee Stadium is located in The Bronx, New York. It replaced the original Yankee Stadium and is located one block away from the original’s site. The third-largest stadium in MLB is home not only to the Yankees, but the MLS club New York City FC as well.

The stadium is easily accessible by subway via the B, D and 4 lines. All three lines have elevator access from the street level to the platform. Parking at Yankee Stadium is limited, so I’d suggest taking public transportation if you can.

Yankee Stadium has a fair amount of options for food, with the vegetarian choices including typical ballpark foods (veggie burgers, fries, pretzels, etc.) and non-traditional healthy picks like sushi, fruit, corn on the cob and salads. Starting in 2023, they’ll partner with Uber Eats to deliver concessions to your seat.

I know it’s been said before, but Yankee Stadium feels very corporate. The atmosphere can be loud and the fans are passionate, but it can feel very buttoned-up. This also applies to the players, coaches and executives, where there are policies in place that don’t allow long hair or facial hair.

It’s not a secret that it’s tough to play in New York. Players are subject to intense scrutiny by the media and the fans. The fans aren’t afraid to boo a pitcher who had a bad day or a player that’s in a slump.

I had a good time at Yankee Stadium and who doesn’t love to watch Aaron Judge play, but I wouldn’t put it at the top of my list. While I found it easy to get there and I was able to pull off sitting right behind home plate, it’s not my number one pick when you compare the two New York ballparks.
