Things To Do In Barcelona

Camp Nou

Address: C. d'Arístides Maillol, 12, 08028 Barcelona, Spain

I definitely suggest checking out Camp Nou if there’s a game when you’re in town. The price is dependent on the matchup so if your budget is limited, look for less anticipated matches. The game when we were there was Barcelona vs. Real Sociedad and we paid less than $100 each for seats in the very front. Your visit might need to be put on pause though, as the stadium is now undergoing renovations and the team will be playing elsewhere for the 2023-24 season.

Park Güell

Address: 08024 Barcelona, Spain

There’s a lot to see at Park Güell, from the Gaudí architecture to the gardens and views of the city. Tickets can be purchased online and the park is accessible via public transportation. Keep in mind that there are stairs and varying levels to the park’s features, so it definitely requires some walking up and down hills.

Mercat de la Boqueria

Address: La Rambla, 91, 08001 Barcelona, Spain

One of the most popular markets in Barcelona, this is a popular tourist landmark. There’s nuts, candies, pastries, and so much more.

Razzmatazz

Address: C/ dels Almogàvers, 122, 08018 Barcelona, Spain

Razzmatazz is a popular nightclub in Barcelona with multiple floors and genres of music. The ticket for entry includes two drinks and there’s something for everyone.

Museu de la Ciència CosmoCaixa

Address: C/ d'Isaac Newton, 26, 08022 Barcelona, Spain

This is an interactive science museum and while it’s fun to walk around, there is one very specific reason I wanted to visit. There’s an indoor rainforest located in the museum, complete with rain and humid weather.

Montjuïc Castle

Address: Ctra. de Montjuïc, 66, 08038 Barcelona, Spain

The castle and former military fortress is located at the top of Montjuïc hill. There are stunning views in every direction and if the cable car is running, you can take it to the top.

Montjuïc National Palace

Address: Palau Nacional, 08038 Barcelona, Spain

The National Palace is located on Montjuïc hill and is home to the National Art Museum of Catalonia. I really enjoyed this museum and the palace itself is beautiful with great views of the city below.

Barceloneta Beach

Address: Passeig Marítim de la Barceloneta, 16, 08003 Barcelona, Spain

Where do I even begin? I loved visiting Barceloneta Beach and everything that surrounded it. There’s tons of restaurants located in the nearby neighborhood so I would always grab lunch or dinner and bring it with me. Even in the winter, the beach was packed with people enjoying the outdoors.

La Sagrada Familia

Address: C/ de Mallorca, 401, 08013 Barcelona, Spain

Arguably the most popular tourist destination in Barcelona, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is worth a visit. The unique architecture is a must-see and while it’s on the expensive side, I suggest purchasing a ticket to go inside. From every angle, the Gaudí designed church is beautiful.

Casa Milà and Casa Batlló

Address: Pg. de Gràcia, 92, 08008 and Pg. de Gràcia, 43, 08007 Barcelona, Spain

Casa Milà and Casa Batlló are two separate buildings designed by Gaudí. They’re located within walking distance of each other so you can visit both in the same day. You can view the exterior architecture for free and they both offer tickets to go inside.

Ciutadella Park

Address: Passeig de Picasso, 21, 08003 Barcelona, Spain

Ciutadella Park is a great spot to walk around or bring a picnic. The waterfall located in the middle of the park is a popular destination with its bright blue water and the statue of Venus.

Arc de Triomf

Address: Passeig de Lluís Companys, 08003 Barcelona, Spain

The Arc de Triomf was built as the gateway to the 1888 Barcelona World Fair located in the Ciutadella Park. It’s a great spot to snap a few photos, especially on a sunny day as the red brick stands out against the blue sky.

Bunkers del Carmel

Address: Carrer de Marià Labèrnia, s/n, 08032 Barcelona, Spain

For the BEST views of the city, head up to Bunkers del Carmel. You can take a bus or taxi up and then it’s a short walk to the very top. It’s a popular picnic spot and sometimes people will play music. Due to its popularity, the city has put restrictions in place and limited when people are allowed to visit so make sure to check times before you head over.
